Baiko Jo Gakuin

Here are some pictures of the school where I work. The first picture shows the whole campus, and the second picture is the main building. The main building is where most of my classes are taught. It is also where the teachers’ office is. The office situation is a little different than in the U.S. All of the teachers, the vice principal, and the principal have their desks all together in one room. Imagine an office with no cubicles and just enough room to walk between the rows of desks. It was kind of strange at first, but I'm getting used to it. However, I do most of my prep work in the English Lounge (1st floor of the Jr. High building). There isn't really a Teacher's Lounge, so most teachers eat at their desk. There isn’t a microwave or refrigerator either, so I eat a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and fruit for lunch. Students are always coming in and out of the offices to ask teachers questions during passing time and before and after school.
