I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet

Yesterday, I experienced my first earthquake. I was working in the English Lounge and I felt the entire building gently shake for about 10 seconds. At first I thought someone had just left a door open (the draft sometimes makes the doors rattle), but then I noticed there were vibrations in the floor and walls. After it stopped, Ruthie popped up from the couch asking, "Was that just an earthquake?" I replied that I didn't really know because I'd never experienced an earthquake. I went upstairs and asked Higuchi-sensei if there had been an earthquake, and she confirmed that there had been a very small one. I was kind of excited. To celebrate here's Carol King.

P.S. - My mother once rocked a similar hair style.

Goodness! Glad you're okay. We've had our share of storms (tornado-wise) in MN this past week as well--I hope your family is doing fine.

I'm moving back to OC because Matthew has one semester left at NWC and I want to take the year off to apply for grad school and such. I'm working at a little coffee shop and am super excited to have my own apartment.

Hard to believe it's been a year since tour. Any plans for after Japan yet?
