Yosakoi in Public

This Saturday afternoon there was a small school festival at Baiko University. My yosakoi team performed for the first time. We weren't very good, but it was really fun. We had pink and purple lines painted abouve our eyes, and a white stripe down our nose. We also wore our tabi kutsu (split-toed shoes).
Afterward, we had a party on the roof of a restaurant facing the straits. It was great! Here's a video of one of our dances (the other one didn't get filmed) and one of the third-year team's dances. Feel free to laugh at me.

Wohoo for Japanese Dance!! You look great--and kind of tall, too! :)
It's always so good to see you, dear Ami.

Hi Ami! We watched your dances. My son Elliot loves to dance and was mesmerized and tried to do it with you. At least he tried!
