A week ago Sunday I spent the day on Tsunoshima (Horn Island), an island north of Shimonoseki. I went with the Volunteer Club from Baiko University. We picked up trash for a couple of hours and then had a barbeque. As I sat on the rocks watching the waves come in I kept thinking "I can't belive I live in place this beautiful place." The top picture is Stephanie (an English prof. at Baiko University) and Hisako (a senior English student at Baiko University). The second photo is the truck we filled with garbage. We collected a lot. We had to separate out the trash by country (Japan, China, Korea).
